Frequently Asked Questions

The Answers You Need

What are your service fees?

Because we provide such a varied service, tailored to each client we do not have a set fee. However please contact the office and we can discuss fees with you in more detail.

What are the differences between a Chartered accountant, an accountant and a bookkeeper?

The Words "Chartered" before accountant signifies that the person is authorised by special law, having obtained desired professional qualifications and prescribed technical knowledge to act as one. Generally, an "accountant" would stand to mean a "bookkeeper". But a Chartered Accountant is not just a bookkeeper.

Our firm is proud to have Chartered Accountants working alongside our bookkeepers.

How long should I keep my tax records for?

You must keep your records for at least 5 years after the 31 January submission deadline of the relevant tax year. HM Revenue and Customs ( HMRC ) may check your records to make sure you're paying the right amount of tax so please ensure all records are kept safe.
